Congratulations to Yeneisi Martinez, Our Newest Employee of the Month!

This month’s award goes to a very talented young woman who continuously excels at her job and helps us keep true to our motto, “We Treat Each Patient Like Family.”

Yeneisi Martinez is part of our talented Patient Experience Specialist team. Thanks to her and her team’s extraordinary work, we can provide excellent service that provides patients with a positive experience. Her efforts ultimately serve to increase the likelihood of treatment compliance and improve disease outcomes.

Yeneisi is usually busy tackling the many responsibilities that come with the job, but she always manages to do so with a smile and a willingness to help others.

To give you an idea of what a typical day at work looks like, these are just a few of her daily tasks:

  • Verify each patient’s coverage ahead of their next appointment
  • Explain to patients what their financial responsibility will be depending on their benefits
  • Help patients enroll in copay assistance programs to help make their treatment more affordable
  • Request and process referrals needed by HMO plans
  • She checks and verifies that all insurance information is accurate, and that no data is missing
  • She is the liaison between our corporate office, our physician partner’s office, and the patient
  • She works closely with other departments holding weekly calls to coordinate Patient Journey, ensuring patients receive and stay on treatment as prescribed by their doctors

Q/ Where were you born and raised?

A/ I’m from Houston TX

 

Q/ What’s your hometown now?

A/ Still proud to be a Houstonian

 

Q/ What did you first want to be when you grew up?

A/ A Pediatrician

 

Q/ Did you have a nickname growing up?  

A/ My family and close friends would call me Neni when I was younger, and it slowly faded away.

 

Q/ What advice would you give to your younger self?

A/ Don’t be afraid of change

 

Q/ What do you do when you are not working? Any hobbies or interests?

A/ I like to travel and horseback riding

 

Q/ What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

A/ I’m usually the youngest in my work environment.

Q/ Who is your biggest influence or your mentor?

A/ My parents – They have taught me to always work hard for the things I deserve and want.

 

Q/ How do you define success, or what does it mean to you?

A/ Being able to keep progressing no matter how small an accomplishment may seem, that is still progress and its resemblance of succeeding.

A/ “When you are stuck, don’t give up; try something new.”

A/ I started as a Temp in September of 2019 and was officially hired in January of 2020
