One of the things we enjoy most is announcing our employee of the month. In July, the honor went to Jordan Cunneff, one of our talented Client Services Account Managers.
Jordan is every employer’s hiring dream. Not only does his good nature and sense of humor bring a smile to everyone he interacts with, his skills and dedication means he pushes the bar every single day.
As a client services account manager, his charisma helps forge strong relationships with our physician partners and staff.
As part of his many responsibilities, Jordan acts as an internal and external point of contact. Thanks to his interpersonal skills, we can meet and exceed our client’s expectations.
Additionally, Jordan and the rest of the team help prepare, maintain and enhance our client-facing reports. These are critical tasks as they allow us to maintain complete transparency to keep our client’s trust.

Q/ Where were you born and raised?
A/ Sugar Land, Texas.
Q/ What did you first want to be when you grew up?
A/ A professional wrestler (said with a wide grin).
Q/ Did you have a nickname growing up?
A/ Yes, they called me Smokey.
Q/ What’s your hometown now?
A/ Houston, TX .
Q/ How do you juggle your work from home life?
A/ Carefully.
Q/ What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
A/ My first name is Joseph. However, I have always gone by my middle name.
Q/ What’s a good quote to describe you or one that deeply resonates with you?
A/ “Tough times don’t last… tough people do.”
Q/ Tell us about your academic studies and any specialties.
A/ I majored in Healthcare Marketing and Administration.
Q/ What or who has been your most significant influence or your mentor?
A/ The beauty of my role is, I get a lot of exposure to working directly with many of our top Executives. But, I want to give a special shout-out to our COO, Jim Lammers.
In actuality, Jim has acted as our COO, CIO, and CTO for the past few years now. Jim’s made a lot of critical decisions to move us forward on a technological level.
Today, our partners and internal stakeholders alike reap the benefits of having their financial data streamlined daily. Thus, no more waiting on weekly or monthly reports to make vital management decisions.
Having a viewpoint to that entire change-management process, years in the making, was a very impactful learning experience for me.
Q/ What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
A/ Winning the July Employee of the Month award has been an enormous honor. The ceremony was a complete surprise, and I consider myself extremely blessed to have won the award.
Q/ What is success to you?
A/ I really like this quote by legendary basketball coach John Wooden. “Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.”
Q/ What three words would you use to describe your role?
A/ Teamwork, teamwork, teamwork.
Q/ When did you start at Altus Biologics?
A/ June of 2018.
Q/ What is your management style? How do you like to communicate with your team?
A/ I do my best to keep the atmosphere light and friendly. Because healthcare can often be hectic and stressful, I do my best to balance that out while still encouraging productivity.

A/ “When are you coming out to see me?”
Q/ How would you describe the company culture here?
A/ Family.

A/ Everyone is accessible, from top to bottom.
