Congratulations To Our December Employee of the Month: Rebecca Sanchez

We are nearing the end of a great and productive year for our organization. This year thanks to you all, we have accomplished and in some cases, exceeded our goals, and we look forward to a plentiful 2020.

However, we could not let this year end without recognizing one of our top talents, Rebecca Sanchez. Rebecca is one of our cornerstones; she is enthusiastic, passionate and a creative problem solver. She also happens to be one of the creators of our Employee of the Month program.

Evidence of this is what her peers and managers have to say about her.

Rebecca is a tremendous asset to the Altus family – her knowledge of what we do and who we are as an organization is unmatched. Rebecca is passionate and cares as much if not more than anyone I know about the success of Altus Infusion and its employees.”

-Joseph Gassett, Director of Account Management

Rebecca is very dependable, honest, and always willing to go the extra mile to help out in anyway she can. I can always depend on Rebecca to offer positive insight at any time in need.  She is AMAZING !! 😊  Congrats on your employee of the month reward; you deserve it!

But perhaps the best description of Rebecca and the fantastic work she has done since she came to work with us came from Lindsay Benoit – HR Manager

Here is what Lindsay had to say:

Rebecca showed exemplary effort in her role as Project Manager resulting in a recent promotion to HR Generalist. I want to highlight some of our performance expectation standards that Rebecca continues to exemplify.

  • Continuous Improvement: You are always looking for ways to learn and grow in any leadership position you have, and you are always willing to impart your knowledge on others. You are also constantly challenging the status quo of both the team you support and the organization to drive results for the organization.
  • Patient-Focused: Your peers have recognized you for demonstrating what a true team member should be. You prove this by keeping your commitments and going the extra mile both for co-workers and clients. You are committed to excellence and demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to take on new tasks in multiple areas of the organization; such as Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources
  • Respect:  You demonstrate inclusiveness and collaboration with all employees and are always working towards a more engaged team. You are the current acting leader of the Fun Committee tasked with continuing to drive employee engagement in our ever-changing employment landscape. You have been instrumental in thinking outside of the box to develop multiple processes currently being utilized today. Examples include New Hire Orientation, Employee of the Month Program, and the Sales CRM Tool.

For those of you who haven’t had the immense pleasure of meeting Rebecca personally, we thought you deserve to know a little more about her. So, as we have done with all our previous Employee’s of Month, we sat together for a little one on one chat.

Here is an excerpt of our conversation.

Hi Rebecca, congratulations on being recognized as our December Employee of the Month.

Q/ Where were you born?

A/ I was born and raised in Del Rio, TX. That’s where I lived until I moved to Seguin to get my college degree at Texas Lutheran University.

Q/ What did you first want to be when you grew up?

A/ When I was growing up, I wanted to be a crime scene investigator but quickly realized that I was not good at science, haha!

Q/ We know you are a very dedicated worker, but we were wondering, what do you do when you are not working?

A/ When I am not working, I am spending time with my husband, Gabriel, and son, Dominic. We enjoy going to the parks & finding different events to go to around the city.

Q/ What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

A/ I had the pleasure of co-authoring a chapter of a book with one of my college professors, Dr. Bollinger. Shameless plug, the book titled, “Ethnographic Choices” is for sale on Amazon!

That is quite the accomplishment, congratulations!

Q/ You mentioned you studied at Texas Lutheran University, what was your major?

A/ Yes, I attended Texas Lutheran University and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in communications in May 2012. I decided to go back to school in January 2016 to pursue my master’s in human resource management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and graduated in May 2018.

Q/ Who has been your most significant influence or your mentor?

A/ My biggest influence has and is my mom. She always encourages me to keep pursuing my goals and always supports me in everything I do.

Q/ What three words would you use to describe your role?

A/ Challenging, Exciting & Rewarding.

OK, let’s talk a little about your journey with Altus Infusion.

Q/ How did you first hear about Altus Infusion?

A/ I was looking for my first job after graduating and I first heard about Altus through a friend of a friend who used to work for the company. They were able to get me an interview and I have been here ever since.

Q/ When did you start at Altus Infusion? And what has the journey been like?

A/ I officially started working for Altus August 2012. My journey with Altus Infusion has been incredible. I started as the Executive Assistant to the President & Executive Vice President; then, I moved to the Sales Development team as a Project Manager. Most recently joined the HR Department as the HR Generalist.

Q/ What would you say you love most about working with Altus Infusion?

A/ I love the flexibility and the many relationships that I have built at Altus. The people that I get to work with daily are great. It’s a great atmosphere to be in because everyone is always willing to help out when needed.
